The matchday 24 Bundesliga fixture between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich will take place on 28 February at the Signal Iduna Park. Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich: prediction, betting odds and statistics.
Borussia Dortmund
A draw in the previous round against Leipzig (2:2) ended Dortmund's six-match winning run in the league. Even so, the team have now gone 16 Bundesliga games without defeat. It is also worth noting the scoring form of Niko Kovac's side, who have netted at least twice in each of their last nine matches in this competition. After dropping points, Borussia Dortmund's gap to the league-leading Munich side has grown to eight points. Making that up, given the head-to-head meetings with Bayern Munich, will be difficult for the club.
- At least three goals have been scored in eight consecutive Dortmund league matches.
- On home soil in this competition, the team have won their previous six matches.
- Borussia Dortmund have not conceded more than once in 10 of their last 13 home Bundesliga games.
Potential Borussia Dortmund Lineup (3-5-2)*
Gregor Kobel – Luca Reggiani, Waldemar Anton, Ramy Bensebaini – Jobe Bellingham, Felix Nmecha, Marcel Sabitzer, Daniel Svensson, Julian Ryerson – Maximilian Beier, Serhou Guirassy.
Defender Filippo Mane is injured. Defender Julian Ryerson will miss the match due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich nearly let a three-goal lead slip in the previous round by allowing Eintracht to score twice, but the team ultimately claimed a third straight league win (3:2). Nonetheless, Bayern Munich's defensive issues cannot be ignored: the club have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight Bundesliga matches, but even with those numbers, Vincent Kompany's side remain the best in the competition for goals conceded (21). The Munich side also lead the overall standings.
- Bayern Munich have scored in both halves in each of their previous 15 league matches.
- Away from home, the team have won 10 of their last 12 matches in this competition (two draws).
- The club have scored at least twice in 15 consecutive away Bundesliga games.
Potential Bayern Munich Lineup (4-5-1)*
Jonas Urbig – Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, Josip Stanisic, Alphonso Davies – Luis Diaz, Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise, Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic – Harry Kane.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and defender Alphonso Davies are injured.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich: Match Prediction
The standout fixture not only of matchday 24 but of the entire second half of the season will be Der Klassiker, which, in all likelihood, will go a long way towards deciding the title race. Borussia Dortmund trail the leaders by eight points, and any further dropped points could have serious consequences for their prospects. Clearly, the home team will look to attack, with their forward play currently in excellent shape. Niko Kovac's side have not scored fewer than two goals in 2026, while in four straight home league matches, the scoring total has not fallen below three goals.
The visitors have room for an off day, but it is unlikely the team will choose to use it. All the more so because they can land a psychological blow on their closest chasers and knock them out of the title race. In general, Bayern Munich have been ruthless against clubs in the European places this season: Leipzig, Stuttgart and Hoffenheim have all conceded five. With that level of firepower, Vincent Kompany's side can even afford some relaxed defending.
At least four goals have been scored in six of the last eight head-to-head meetings at Borussia Dortmund's ground in the Bundesliga. Given both sides' recent numbers, it is hard to expect fewer goals this time.
Prediction: Over 3.5 goals
