The first leg of the 2024/25 Europa Conference League quarter-finals between Real Betis (Spain) and Jagiellonia (Poland) will take place on April 10 at the Benito Villamarín Stadium in Seville. Betis vs. Jagiellonia: prediction and betting odds, statistics.
Real Betis
The Seville team struggled to reach the playoffs, finishing only 15th in the group stage (3 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses). This forced them to play a playoff against Gent, which they won thanks to a 3-0 away victory (having lost 0-1 at home). A similar scenario unfolded in the round of 16 against Vitoria Guimaraes: a 2-2 home draw followed by a 4-0 away win. Notably, Betis has not reached the quarter-finals of European competitions this century.
- In their last six Europa Conference League matches, Betis has lost only once (4 wins and 1 draw).
- At least one team did not score in 5 of Betis's last 6 games in this tournament.
- No more than three goals were scored in 6 of Betis's last 7 home matches in this European competition.
Predicted lineup for Betis (4-3-3)
Fran Vieites – Aitor Ruibal, Ricardo Rodríguez, Diego Llorente, Marc Bartra – Sergi Altimira, Isco, Pablo Fornals – Antoni Mateus, Jesús Rodríguez, Cédric Bakambu.
Forward Abde Ezzalzouli and midfielders Isco and Marc Roca are out due to injuries.
Jagiellonia
Like their opponents, the Polish team did not make it into the top eight in the group stage of the Europa Conference League (3 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss). As a result, they had to play a playoff against TSC Bačka Topola, which they won comfortably in both legs with identical 3-1 scores. In the round of 16, Adrián Semenec's side defeated Cercle Brugge 3-0 at home before losing 0-2 away. It's worth noting that Jagiellonia has never before reached the playoffs of European competitions.
- In their last 10 matches in this tournament, Jagiellonia has lost only twice (6 wins and 2 draws).
- No more than three goals were scored in 7 of Jagiellonia's last 10 Europa Conference League games.
- The club conceded first in all five of their away matches in this European competition.
Predicted lineup for Jagiellonia (4-4-2)
Sławomir Abramowicz – Dušan Stojinović, Mateusz Skrzypczak, Enzo Ebosse, João Gervásio Moutinho – Leon Flak, Jarosław Kubicki, Kristoffer Hansen, Miki Villar – Afimico Pululu, Jesús Imaz.

Betis vs. Jagiellonia: Match Prediction
In my opinion, Betis has not yet reached full throttle in this European competition. The exception was their away match against the Portuguese in the last round when they needed to win to advance. As the final approaches, Betis will not hold back, as there's a chance to win the trophy and secure a spot in the Europa League.
Manuel Pellegrini's side is in excellent form. The team had a record six-match winning streak in La Liga until their recent game against Barcelona. Even against the league leaders, Betis secured a draw away (1-1). I'm confident that Betis will not slow down and will be fully prepared for the first leg of the quarter-finals. It's crucial for the Spanish side to establish a comfortable lead in the first match to allow for some squad rotation in the return leg. The Polish team is not as strong away from home, having suffered two "dry" defeats in their last three away Europa Conference League matches, despite facing modest opponents like Mladá Boleslav and Cercle Brugge.
My prediction – Betis with a handicap (-1.5)
