The Matchday 27 Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will take place on 22 February at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal: prediction, betting odds and statistics.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur hosted Newcastle United in the previous round and suffered yet another defeat—their 11th of the current league campaign—going down 2:1. As a result, the club have dropped as far as 16th in the standings, with the relegation zone now just five points away. After that match, the club’s hierarchy opted for decisive action and dismissed Thomas Frank. Igor Tudor has been appointed as his replacement. The Croatian coach now has to address a prolonged eight-match winless run in the Premier League (four draws and four defeats).
- Both teams scored in six of the London club’s previous seven Premier League matches.
- At least three goals were scored in five of Tottenham Hotspur’s last six league games.
- On home soil, the club have failed to win five straight Premier League matches (two draws and three defeats).
Potential Tottenham Hotspur Lineup (4-3-3)*
Guglielmo Vicario – Archie Gray, Djed Spence, Radu Dragusin, Micky van de Ven – Wilson Odobert, Conor Gallagher, Yves Bissouma – Xavi Simons, Pape Matar Sarr, Dominic Solanke.
Injuries continue to rule out midfielders Wilson Odobert, Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur and James Maddison, defenders Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro and Ben Davies, as well as forwards Richarlison, Mohamed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski. Defender Cristian Romero is suspended for a further three matches.
Arsenal
Arsenal played a rearranged fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday, but failed to deal with a clear underdog, having to settle for a 2:2 draw. What is more, the London side were two goals up during the match, only to concede the decisive goal in the 94th minute. Prior to that, the team had also shared the spoils with Brentford (1:1). Those two compromises could prove costly for Arsenal, as their advantage over Manchester City now stands at just five points—and the Citizens have a game in hand. It is also worth noting that the Gunners continue to hold not only top spot in the table, but also the status of the league’s best defence, having conceded just 20 goals.
- In their last 12 Premier League matches, the club have suffered only one defeat (seven wins and four draws).
- At least three goals were scored in four of Arsenal’s previous five league games.
- Away from home, the team are unbeaten in six straight Premier League matches (three wins and three draws).
Potential Arsenal Lineup (4-3-3)*
David Raya – Gabriel Magalhaes, Piero Hincapie, Jurrien Timber, William Saliba – Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli – Noni Madueke, Bukayo Saka, Viktor Gyokeres.
Midfielder Mikel Merino and forward Kai Havertz are sidelined through injury. Martin Odegaard is a doubt for the match.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal: Match Prediction
Despite dreadful Premier League results, Tottenham Hotspur have managed to qualify directly for the Champions League round of 16. However, the team will be chasing success in Europe under a new head coach, while in the Premier League Igor Tudor will be battling for little more than the points required to keep the club in England’s top flight. Interestingly, last season the London club also flopped in the league, yet won the Europa League. Can they pull off the same trick this year, but in the Champions League?
We are not expecting any surprises from the hosts in the upcoming derby. Tottenham Hotspur’s form is simply too poor, and the injury problems are huge. In addition, Arsenal will come to town having dropped points too often over the past month, allowing the chasing pack to close in. We believe the Gunners will do everything they can to win this derby, as they did in six of the previous seven head-to-head Premier League meetings (plus one draw). We also expect at least two goals—fixtures between these London sides tend to be highly entertaining—and that number of goals was scored in 14 of the last 15 Premier League head-to-head clashes.
Prediction: Arsenal to win + Over 1.5 goals
* For each team, the starting XI listed is the one from their previous match in this competition.
