All reviewsReview of the bookmaker Supabets from Legalbet
Supabets is a relatively new betting platform in Uganda that try making a name for themselves. Their jackpots have created a pull to their website. The platform is in the rough and needs a lot of revamping to meet up to standard though. With consistent tweaks and amendments in order to make it better, they could become much better.
Odds — normal
We calculated the margin for Supabets by analysing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:
From 1% to 5%: Good value
Over 5% to 7%: Average value
Over 7% to 10%: Poor value
Football
We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.
Supabets has an overall average margin of 5.72% for football and falls in the average value category. In the first section using odds from the English Premier League, the margin is at 5.23%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, has a margin of 5.19%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa, the margin is at 6.75%.
Betting options — normal
Supabets is one of the thriving online betting platforms in Uganda. They are still far from being one of the top bookies in the country. However, they have started on the right path. With respect to their sportsbook, a number of improvements need to be made.
Range of Sports: They have provision for a feature of about 13 games on their platform. Some of these sports are football, baseball, ice hockey, boxing, tennis, rugby and snooker.
However, the bookie's casino boats s decent number of games available. It not only features the slot games but other options too. We are talking about options like Power 3, Win double, Tribal Mask and a whole lot more. As at the time of this review, 10 different casino games were available for betting and they can do better in this aspect given that some bookies easily have up to 50+ games in this same section.
They also have a jackpot available and we’ll be discussing that in the ‘bonuses’ category.
One notable flaw about this bookie is their nonchalance to featuring a wide range of virtual games. There is no provision of virtual games on the platform and that can push a lot of users away from the platform.
The site, despite having a basic interface, is quite easy to navigate and doesn't require any advanced technical knowhow to find your way around the site.
Range of Bets and Markets: When there are various betting options to pick from, punters are at an advantage. Supabets ensures large offerings of betting options across the sports offered. However, when compared with other platforms that seem to stack up their site with extensive options, one cannot help but deem it below standard.
If you are satisfied with the regular options you can find on virtually any bookie, then you will not have a problem with this one.
For football events on the platform, you can find options like "1st half double chance", "correct score", "European handicap", "draw no bet", "Asian handicap result", "home multigoals" etc.
The basketball section of the platform on the other hand, offers some interesting options like "1st quarter result", "2nd quarter result", "2nd half points Odd/Even" to mention but a few.
Betting limits: The amount of money that can be placed on each bet slip is enough for most people. Like in most bookmakers though, the limits are getting smaller when it comes to betting on lower leagues.Live — bad
Live betting has in recent times gained popularity amongst punters and bookies. Now, it is easy for a punter to turn away from a bookie if he’s not offering in-play betting. This is because they know how beneficial live betting can be and they choose not to settle for less.
Our review of Supabets showed they have just football and basketball available for live betting and that is pretty poor compared to other bookmakers.
Betting options for both sports were also poor and there is obviously a lot of work for them to improve on in this regard.
In fact, some of the football games on their live section have just about 10 options while some have ‘no markets available’. This is rather inexcusable from Supabets and they must work to improve this as soon as possible or their live section would be as if it’s inexistent.
Considering how we explained football to be above, it’s safe to say we shouldn’t expect much from the other sport available.
A couple of basketball games have just the basic win and points selection for their live betting section. Once again, that is another big letdown in this regard.
We were left unimpressed with Supabets in this category and they have lots of work to be done before they can get their live betting page up to standard.
